Embarking on this adventure as a beginner, I've taken the plunge into the art of sewing by enrolling in a beginner's course at the Couture Arts Fashion Academy (CAFA) in Pymble, NSW. The hum of sewing machines, the array of colourful fabrics, and the anticipation of creating something beautiful have ignited a passion within me, and I can't wait to share every step of this exciting journey with you.

Why sewing, you might ask? I have been following the the creative works of @SewTotallyTyler on instagram for some time through my personal profile. Watching him create his own wardrobe out of some amazing fabric and funky designs inspired me to want to do the same for myself.

As a lover of fashion and someone who likes to play with fashion (or gender-bending fashion) I found that the products that are available are usually cheaply made as fast fashion and don’t fit the way I expect it to or have a high price tag. So why not make my own wardrobe?

Throughout this blog, I aim to take you with me on this expedition into the world of sewing. Expect to find a mix of my experiences at Couture Arts Fashion Academy, the invaluable lessons learned, and the projects that will undoubtedly be marked with a few beginner's quirks.
